The winner of the Blockchain Start-up Challenge that was organized with the cooperation of Paribu Hub and Hackquarters and that was realized by Paribu for contributing to the blockchain ecosystem with educational cooperations and project supports was the “Kite Project”.
At “Blockchain Start-up Challenge” realized with the cooperation of Paribu Hub and Hackquarters where blockchain-based software solutions competed, the winning team was the team of “Kite Project” that brings together students and sponsors to help their dreams come true. It was expressed that alongside determining significant problems and developing solutions, the Kite Project had the potential to create value as well. Through The Kite Project, which provides university students scholarship opportunities with donations collected in cryptocurrencies based on the conditions coded by smart contracts, the sponsors can follow the standing of the student on the platform.
While announcing the winning project, Yasin Oral, CEO of Paribu, and Kaan Akın, CEO of Hackquarters, underlined that all projects that competed at “Blockchain Start-up Challenge” and passed the preselection were innovative.
During his speech, “As a team working on a voluntary basis, we are glad to receive such support,” said Mert Susur, founder of the Kite Project.
66 projects from 15 countries have competed
66 projects from 15 countries participated and 10 of these projects advanced to the finals in the “Blockchain Start-up Challenge”, whose jury included Yasin Oral, CEO of Paribu; Kaan Akın, founder and CEO of Hackquarters; Turan Sert, Hulki Okan Tabak, Cemil Şinasi Türün, Yakup Bayrak, and Bikem Kanık, the members of the Advisory Board of Paribu; Elçin Karatay, the shareholder of Solak&Partners Legal Office, and Roy Kömürcü, co-founder and CEO of Just Work.
The opening speech of the contest moderated by Kaan Akın was given by Yasin Oral, and he stated that the “Blockchain Start-up Challenge” was a step for Paribu Hub and Paribu Hub would continue educational cooperations and supporting projects for Turkey to produce blockchain projects.
At the panel held within the framework of the event, İsmail Hakkı Polat, Cemil Şinasi Türün, and Erkan Öz, who prepared the program “Kripto Veteran” asked their questions regarding cryptocurrency and blockchain technology to Yasin Oral.
By expressing that “Paribu is not only a cryptocurrency transaction platform, but it is also a technology company,” Oral highlighted that Paribu would continue pioneering new technologies in the Blockchain ecosystem.
