The first Paribu sponsored presentation of Istanbul Blockchain Women Use-Case series was delivered online on April 7th .
The moderators of the program were Ebru Güven and Burcu Yiğit, where Dr. Gökçe Phillips talked about “Cryptocurrencies and Token Economy”.
Phillips shared her ideas about the innovations brought about by blockchain technology in fields like data maintenance, health and logistics as well the use of cryptocurrencies in daily life.
Stating that every single cryptocurrency was made to offer different advantages, Phillips said “We will use cryptocurrencies that contribute to our lives. We cannot change our lives if it is not for an encouraging reason.”
In her presentation, Phillips indicated that cryptocurrencies will become more widespread in daily life and added “We should not regard cryptocurrencies just as an investment tool. Each and every singly cryptocurrency will serve in its own field and their functions will all be different from one another.”
