According to a 2015 United Nations (UN) report, 836 million people cannot meet their most basic human needs.
617 million children of primary school age lack basic reading and math skills.
More than 40 percent of people are having problems accessing clean water. 785 million people around the world do not have running water in their houses.

Our point of reference with regards to our efforts is the UN, an organization whose sustainable development goals are accepted all over the world.
Based on “Sustainable Development Goals” published by the UN in January 2016, we are taking steps both in Turkey and in the international arena on three of the 17 goals cited therein: “end poverty”, “quality education” and “clean water and sanitation.”
End poverty
Although it has halved between 1990 and 2015, many people still cannot meet their basic needs in terms of food, shelter, and nutrition.
We also support the humanitarian aids delivered by the AHBAP platform, which promotes greater social solidarity in the fight against poverty. We regularly donate to AHBAP’s social responsibility projects for the people in need.
Donating to AHBAP since 2018, we stand in solidarity with people needing surgery, treatment, housing, help with funeral services, prosthesis and basic sustenance during the pandemic, all made possible by the foundation’ twelve aid campaigns. On May 22, Bitcoin Pizza Day, which is considered important for the cryptocurrency ecosystem, we partnered with AHBAP to support 4 families in need.
After the earthquake in Izmir on October 30, 2020, we sent 400 food packages to the earthquake victims via the agency of AHBAP. Also in 2020, we provided medical assistance to 3 families for their surgeries and other medical needs. In the first three months of 2021, we assisted 6 families with their treatment costs, house renovation works and basic sustenance items.
Quality education
Although enrollment rates are increasing, there are serious problems with children’s access to quality education due to poverty or other crises.
We contribute to the efforts of the Community Volunteers Foundation (TOG) so that children and young people can get quality education. We support the projects of TOG, which builds youth centers, organizes training programs, offers students the opportunity to study abroad and participate in social activities, and has brought services to more than 800,000 children and young people.
In addition to our donations on special days such as Women’s Day, we make donations to TOG on behalf of our participants at press conferences and industry events, giving donors in return their donation certificates. In 2020, we enabled 21 community volunteers to receive social responsibility training and participate in projects. On International Women’s Day in 2021, we helped 6 more young people receive social responsibility training and participate in projects by donating to the foundation on behalf of women in the Paribu team. We granted scholarships to 3 young members of the foundation under the blockchain training in collaboration with Paribu Hub and BÜYEM. We also supported 62 young community volunteers by donating on behalf of participants who were present for the launch event of the Parallel Universe Exibition by Ouchhh, sponsored by Paribu.
We also fund the “İKSV Alt Ka” to provide children and young people easy access to culture and arts, which we see as part of a quality education.
We sponsored 10 digital events organized by İKSV Alt Kat which were themed around kite-flying, drawing, cartoons, and storytelling during the Covid 19 pandemic. İKSV Alt Kat reached out to 2400 children in 26 digital events organized with the support from Paribu. Once social restrictions are lifted, we will go back to supporting the foundation’s face-to-face events to complement its online activities.
We are breaking new ground in Turkey with our collaboration with UNICEF Turkey, known for its efforts in education, protection, health, social policies etc. for the most vulnerable children, adolescents and teenagers. Under this partnership, we enable users to donate to UNICEF Turkey in cryptocurrencies via Paribu. The donations are put to valuable use for disadvantaged children as part of UNICEF’s “Inclusive Education”project. The donations were used to create a temporary school environment for more than 800 children, providing them with “Life-Giving Gifts” that contain basic educational tools such as pencils, school bags and blackboards. We continue to allow users to make donations to UNICEF Turkey in cryptocurrencies.
Clean water and sanitation
A third of countries experience moderate to high levels of water crisis and face difficulties in accessing clean water.
We act on a global scale to address the issue of dwindling water resources.
By working together with the Sen De Gel Association, which carries out sustainable projects for the disadvantaged regions of the world and has so far implemented projects that have benefited about 450,000 people around the world, we have opened 6 water wells in the African nation of Gambia to give people access to clean water. Currently, 2850 people benefit from these water wells.
We will continue to cooperate with the Sen De Gel Association in national and international aid projects.
